Attach it to your workbench or a piece of wood held in a workmate, then fit an electric drill with a sanding disk attachment = a great little sanding device. It only appears to take mains corded drills as they have the correct throat size to fit, none of my battery drills would fit.It does hold the drill tight and safe. My only niggle being it is quite difficult to use 2 of the 4 mounting holes on the base - though using 2 does make it sturdy enough.
